John Farris (ur. 1936) amerykański autor SF i fantasy oraz horroru. Wychowany w Tennessee, ukończył Central High School w Memphis i uczęszczał do Southwestern College (obecnie Rhodes College) w Memphis.

Oprócz swej ogromnej liczby powieści, jego twórczość obejmuje również scenariusze filmowe, do właśnych książek (Fury) lub innych autorów fantastyki (Bester, Demolished Man). Pisał też sztuki na Broadway.
