Malcolm Scott Ciencin (ur. 1962) jest amerykańskim pisarzem fantasy. Czasami pisze z Denise Ciencin. Scott Ciencin jest autorem bestsellerów "New York Times", wśród jego prac są powieści pisane dla Dungeons & Dragons. Tworzył programy do Scholastic Books, karty do kolekcjonowania, konsultował gry wideo, był reżyserem i producentem audio. Początkowo pracował w produkcji telewizji jako scenarzysta, producent i reżyser. Specjalizuje się w pisaniu nowelizacji scenariuszy filmowych. Mieszka w Sarasota na Florydzie.

Razem z Troyem Dennigiem pisze pod pseudonimem Richard Awlinson. Inne pseudonimy jakich używa to: Greg Cox i Nick Baron
