William Browning Spencer (ur. 1946) to wielokrotnie nagradzany amerykański pisarz, mieszkający w Austin w Teksasie. Jego powieści science fiction i horrory często są mroczne i pełne surrealistycznego humoru. Jego opowiadanie "The Death of Novel" dostało w 1995 nagrodę Brama Stokera. W 2005 r., jego opowiadanie "Pep Talk"zostało pokazane w krótkim filmie pisarza Erica B. Andersona i reżysera Scotta Smitha (Project Greenlight) i miało swoją premierę na Festiwalu Filmowym w Santa Fe w grudniu 2006r.
