Karen Kruse Anderson ur. 16 września 1932 roku, pisarka, poetka, żona znanego autora science fiction Poula Anderson, ich córka jest żoną innego pisarza SF Grega Beara. Ukończyła studia filologiczne. Wiele utworów napisała z mężem, ale jest też pierwszą autorką, która napisała pierwszą sf haiku w lipcowym numerze Fantasy & Science Fiction Magazine.
Dwukrotnie z mężem odwiedziła Polskę, w 1985 i 1990 roku.
